Log entry 7

To simulate gravity inside the vessel, a rotating compartment is needed. The Centrifugal force will drive any object inside the compartment towards the hull, thereby giving the appearance of a gravitational pull directed outward. The vessel’s hull will provide the centripetal force that is required for the objects to travel in a circle.

The ritual

We have to descend in order to ascend

The immigrants will arrive at the terminal with their 1m63 of items to take with them.

On Arrivals they will be given a private chamber to say their final goodbyes.

In continue they will be separated from those who stay behind and they will walk the Astropath, their final walk on Earth.

The Astropath will lead them straight into the rocket that will put them in orbit in order to board the immigration vessels

log entry 5

The vessels shall be constructed in space.

As moon and Earth formed out of identical materials we shall harvest the moon for whatever we can.

Since the moon has a mass of 1/80 of the Earth, it will be easier to break it’s gravitational pull and bring the materials to the construction site.

Anything that can not be taken from the moon, shall come from the Earth

log entry 4

What will I take with me?

It is not a question of what, but of how much.

There is no time to consider each one of us as an individual. In days of dire need we have to stop considering ourselves as unique and act as a collective intelligence.

Log entry 3

How much volume does a human take?

1 litre of water = 1kg

The density of a human being is just about the same as that of water, since when an average human body is put into water, it barely floats in it.

So it’s density varies from just below, to just above 1.0g/cm^3

Muscle weight = 1.06g/ml

Fat= 0.9g/ml

Volume= weight/density

As I weight 70gk, my displacement is ( with a 5% approximation error) 70ltrs or 0.07m^3

Log entry 2

My task is simple.

I need to prepare and transport the immigrants from the Earth to their new host.

Like drifters of the interstellar currents, they will search the universe from system to system until they find a hospitable world.

How many different “ goodmornings” can you receive for the rest of your days?

500 faces I d say are, enough to offer a diversity of mind

Log entry 1

Today I have been appointed the task to save the human race.

The Earth is dying, decaying from our own grief and sadness. Like termites we have devoured her patience and understanding and since she can not get rid of us, she is destroying herself.

Like grasshoppers that finished eating the crops in this field we have to look for a new place that is unfamiliar with our malice and call it home.
